2017 Red Bull Straight Rhythm - Two Stroke Shootout

Leave it to Red Bull. Not only do they have the very unique Red Bull Straight Rhythm happening this weekend at the Fairplex in Pomona, southern California, but they’ve added some special - The Two Stroke Shootout, hosting by Ken Roczen.

Perhaps you’ve heard of Ken Roczen. Maybe. Possibly. Or perhaps you’ve heard of Ryan Villopoto (yes, he’s racing!). Maybe you’ve heard of Chad Reed? (Yes, Chad is racing on a two stroke too.) For sure you’ve heard of Ronnie Mac!

Here’s the official info from Red Bull:  The field is set for the Two-Stroke Shootout at Red Bull Straight Rhythm. This eight-man bracketed competition will be exclusively for bikes with two-stroke engines, and will be hosted by Ken Roczen. But how will it all unfold?

The Two-Stroke Bracket Challenge allows you to make your best guess.  Drag and drop riders below to fill out your bracket and pick a winner. Submit your bracket and the first perfect bracket (or the closest to perfect) will win a prize pack from Fox Racing (not to mention the admiration of your friends and family).  Get to Fairplex in Pomona or tune in to Red Bull TV on October 21 to root on your picks.

The 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series Press Conference at Angel Stadium of Anaheim

The big players were on hand. 2-time defending champion Ryan Dungey, who will race on the Red Bull KTM. German-born Ken Roczen rocking a great new suit, and races for Team Honda HRC. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac. Marvin Musquin, Chad Reed, Jason Anderson, and Cooper Webb.

The main protagonists? Ken Roczen in his new suit and tie, Ryan Dungey. Ryan Dungey's KTM, Ken Roczen's Honda, Chad's Reed's Yamaha, Roczen / Honda, Dungey / KTM, Jason Anderson's Husqvarna, Eli Tomac's Kawasaki.

Monster Energy Supercross 2017 TV Schedule

Feld Entertainment Inc. announced the upcoming 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, schedule with more ways to watch, on more channels, globally.

With an expanded FOX broadcast partnership, Supercross fans will also be able to watch the first race from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., on FOX Deportes, alongside social media and live streaming options for enthusiasts outside of North America and Australia.

Devotees of Ryan Dungey, Eli Tomac or Ken Roczen can still watch races on FS1, FS2 and ESPN (Australia) throughout the season, but for the first time in the four-year media partnership with FOX, Monster Energy Supercross will have airtime on FOX Deportes for the kick-off in Anaheim, Calif. on January 7, 2017 and on every local FOX station throughout the country for races in Indianapolis (3/18/2017), Salt Lake City (4/22/2017) and East Rutherford, N.J. (4/29/2017). Check local listings.

Fans in North America can catch the aerial excitement and high-speed chases on their desktops and mobile devices via FOX Sports GO, FOX Sports' authenticated TV everywhere app, as well as the Monster Energy Supercross pay-per-view live stream available through www.SupercrossLIVE.com.

Monster Energy Supercross will provide an option to access the action, energy and excitement in real time outside of North America for the first time via the pay-per-view live stream. Fans will be able to purchase a season pass for $99.99 and stream races live and up to one week following the race.

For those already excited for the season, Feld Entertainment will also debut the Monster Energy Supercross 2017 Preview Show on December 18 on FS1 at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT.  This unprecedented, unfiltered look into the lives of Ryan Dungey, Chad Reed, Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, Marvin Musquin, Jason Anderson and Cooper Webb chronicles preparations before the elite riders go head-to-head in the quest for their place on the podium.
