MXGP World Motocross Spain 2015

Round 6 of the FIM World Motocross Championships of MXGP and MX2. Talavera, Spain. German Max Nagl leads the MX GP standings coming into this weekend. American Ryan Villopoto will not be racing – still recovering from an injured ‘tail bone’.

World Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli tops the MX GP Qualifying Race, followed by Clement Desalle. Tony suffered a broken bone in his hand two weeks ago in Holland. The Grand Prix is tomorrow.

Sunday Grand Prix

MXGP: 8 time World Motocross Champion from Italy, Tony Cairoli, riding the 450cc RedBull KTM motorcycle, has won the 2015 Spanish MX GP. Max Nagl finishes second, retains series points lead. Romain Febvre third. Clement Desalle finishes fourth, Gautier Paulin 6th, and Ryan Villopoto, as mentioned above, did not race. Results below.

MX2: The surprise story is that Jeffrey Herlings did not win. He did finish second overall. He had a poor 2nd moto, after winning the first moto. The overall winner today in Spain – Valentin Guillod from Switzerland. Results below.
