Saturday Qualifying Races
MXGP: Romain Febvre is the man of the moment in MX GP. He leads the point standings, and, now with Tony Cairoli out of action (full info on Tony below), the 2015 championship is his if he stays injury free. He won today’s MX GP Qualifying Race, with fellow Frenchman Gautier Paulin 2nd, Glenn Coldenhoff 3rd. Febvre leads Paulin by 66 points in the championship chase. Belgian Rockstar Suzuki racer Clement Desalle is back racing. The Grand Prix is tomorrow.
MX2: Max Anstie is now consistently showing the talent he’s always had. He won today’s MX2 Qualifying Heat. An awful turn of events for Dutchman and MX2 series points leader Jeffrey Herlings. He crashed, was then run into by Jordi Tixier, and was taken from the race circuit by ambulance. The result is a serious one – dislocated hip. He is done for 2015.
