France wins 2015 Motocross of Nations in Ernee, France. Gautier Paulin, Marvin Musquin, Romain Febvre top the world on their ‘home’ track. USA team of Justin Barcia, Jeremy Martin, Cooper Webb 2nd.
The Motocross of Nations is only raced once a year and shows off the best talent in motocross racing. This year’s event in Ernee, France is a beautiful and classic motocross venue. Great scenery, tremendous crowd and atmosphere, and lots of steep hills. The crowd is truly electric.
France is the defending champion with Gautier Paulin 1, Marvin Musquin 2, and Romain Febvre 3. Team USA has Justin Barcia 7, Jeremy Martin 8, Cooper Webb 9.
Saturday Qualifying. The French riders were very strong – their riders won all three Qualifying Heats – Gautier Paulin MXGP, Marvin Musquin MX2, Romain Febvre Open. USA had Justin Barcia 3rd in MXGP class, Jeremy Martin 2nd in MX2 class, and Cooper Webb 3rd in Open class. Great Britain had bad news – Max Anstie was landed upon by another rider, and he’s out. Moto 1 – MXGP and MX2 classes combined. Justin Barcia of the USA won. Then Evgeny Bobryshev, Max Nagl, Marvin Musquin from France, and Jeremy Martin from the USA.
Moto 2 – Open and MX2 classes combined. World MX GP Champion Romain Febvre of France won. Cooper Webb of the USA 2nd, Marvin Musquin of France third, Jeremy Van Horebeek, and USA’s Jeremy Martin.
Moto 3 – MXGP and Open classes combined. Romain Febvre of Team France won, and sealed the victory for Team France. Ben Townley 2nd, Justin Barcia 3rd, Evgeny Bobryshev 4th, Gautier Paulin 5th, Cooper Webb 6th.
Romain Febvre, the French sensation that captured the world’s attention this year in claiming the MX GP World title, was also today’s overall top rider. A fitting end to his dominant season.
