MXGP World Motocross Series Round 1 - Qatar

Tim Gajser from Slovenia rading a Honda surprises motor sports world by sweeping MXGP World Motocross opener in Qatar. Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings of Red Bull KTM team tops MX 2.

Round 1 of the FIM World Motocross Championships MXGP and MX2. This race is held at night, under the lights, at the Losail International Circuit, just outside of the capital city of Doha.

MXGP: Tim Gajser, the defending MX2 world champion, in his first race in the MX GP class, stuns the motor sports world by winning both motos. Defending MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre of France on Yamaha 2nd overall, Russian Honda rider Evgeny Bobryshev 3rd.

Ben Townley returns to GP racing. Clement Desalle now riding for Monster Energy Kawasaki broke his arm a couple of weeks ago. He tried racing, but DNF.

MX2: Jeffrey Herlings wins both motos. Dylan Ferrandis on Kawasaki takes 2nd in both races.
